BILL GRAY’S REGIONAL ICEPLEX KICKS OFF LARGEST HOCKEY TOURNAMENT SEASON TO DATE THIS WEEKEND WITH PLAY HOCKEY INVITATIONAL

This weekend, over 1,100 ice hockey players and family members will converge on Rochester for the Play Hockey Invitational, hosted by PLAY HOCKEY—a Minnesota based youth ice hockey event company.
 
In total, 28 teams will compete in the three day event that is being hosted at Bill Gray’s Regional Iceplex. Participating teams will be representing NY, PA, NJ, OH, and MD.
 
Based on the National Association of Sports Commissions Economic Impact Assumptions, this event will have an economic impact on the local community in the range of $250,000.
 
The Play Hockey Invitational kicks off the Iceplex’s 2022-2023 hockey tournament season, which features 20 large-scale events occurring through June of 2023. In all, an estimated 1,000 hockey teams will participate in these events.
