Each employee of Monroe Community Sports Centre Corp (dba Bill Gray's Regional Iceplex) is required to review all of the below information when returning to work, and to acknowledge this information at the bottom of this page.
Employees are required to participate in daily mandatory health screening assessments. This is done by the employee prior to arriving to the Iceplex for each shift (ie; done every day they are scheduled to work). This screening is done through an online survey, which can be located at bgri.fun/screen. We suggest each employee save this link on their phone so that it can easily be accessed each day prior to arriving for scheduled shifts. This screening form has also been posted in each employee area at the Iceplex, on a sign that contains a QR code (which can be scanned with a phone, which will immediately open this form). These signs are posted as a reminder, in case any employee forgot to complete the survey prior to arriving at the Iceplex for their shift (not as the primary means for filling out the self screening form--it should be done prior to departing to the Iceplex for each shift).
In addition to the screening questionnaire, daily temperature checks of employees will also be conducted per U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission or DOH guidelines. Bill Gray's Regional Iceplex does not keep records of employee health data (e.g. temperature data). When arriving for each shift, each employee must immediately notify their manager, who will then perform this temperature check with a laser thermometer.
An employee who screens positive for COVID-19 symptoms will not be allowed to enter the worksite and will be sent home with instructions to contact their healthcare provider for assessment and testing. Employees to be provided with information on healthcare and testing resources.
Ryan Quackenbush has been designated as the central point of contact of the Iceplex for all staff, and is responsible for receiving and attesting to having reviewed all employees’ questionnaires. Ryan has been identified as the contact for employees to inform if they later are experiencing COVID-19-related symptoms, as noted on the questionnaire.
MASKS & PPE
Employees are required to wear a mask at all times while they are inside the building, especially when they interact with patrons/players/spectators--regardless of physical distance.
Employees are allowed to bring in their own masks from home (if they would like) but they must be clean or previously unworn. Acceptable face covering include but are not limited to: homemade sewn, quick cut, bandana, or surgical masks.
Employees will be supplied with a new facemask at the beginning of each new shift if they do not wish to wear their own mask..
Employees are required to regularly clean and replace facemasks between shifts and are prohibited from sharing them.
Employees are encouraged to avoid touching their eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands. If an employee must touch one of these areas, they are required to wash their hands with soap and water for 20 seconds (before and after).
Employees should cover their mouth and nose with a tissue when they cough or sneeze, or use the inside of their elbow. Employees must then properly dispose of used tissue and clean hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water.
Employees are prohibited from shaking hands with patrons and other employees.
If an employee's hands become contaminated with a substance and are soiled (wet), they must wash their hands with soap and water for 20 seconds instead of using hand sanitizer. Hand sanitizer is non effective for disinfecting wet hands.
Employees are required to avoid touching or using other employee’s phones, desks, offices, or other work tools and equipment, when possible.
Employees are limited and discouraged from the sharing of objects and discouraged from touching shared surfaces (e.g. cash registers); or when in contact with shared objects or frequently touched areas, wear gloves (trade-appropriate or medical); or sanitize or wash hands before and after contact.
Employees will be provided with appropriate cleaning and disinfection supplies for shared and frequently touched surfaces (e.g. Ipad, computer mouse/keyboard, door handles, etc.) and are encouraged to use these supplies, following manufacturers’ instructions, before and after use of these surfaces, followed by hand hygiene.
Employees must perform hand hygiene before and after transferring a load (e.g. from a delivery driver) of products (e.g. perform hand hygiene before starting to load items; and once all items have been loaded, finish by performing hand hygiene again).
Employees are prohibited from sharing food and beverages (e.g. buffet style meals), and are encouraged to bring their lunch from home. Adequate spacing for employees to be provided while eating meals.
Employees are prohibited from entering or using the former breakroom behind the front desk. (Upstairs Lobby to be used in place of breakroom with proper social distancing applied).
Employees at the check-in desk must maintain six feet from other individuals, unless there is a physical barrier between them. Any time employees interact with patrons/players/spectators, they must wear acceptable face coverings.
Employees are expected to abide by signage and distance markers denoting spaces of 6 ft. in all commonly used areas indoors and any areas in which lines are commonly formed or people may congregate (e.g. break rooms, equipment checkout areas, cash register areas, locker rooms).
Employees to understand that the use of tightly small spaces (e.g. elevators, vehicles) by more than one individual at time is prohibited, unless all individuals are wearing face coverings. If the space occupied by more than one person who are all wearing face coverings, keep occupancy under 50% of maximum capacity.
Additional protocols are in place for each specific staffing role (ie; Operations attendant, front desk attendant), which will be communicated directly to each employee by their supervisor upon re-entry to their position at the Iceplex.
The Iceplex has posted all COVID-19 related operational information online at www.billgraysiceplex.com/covid, and all employees are required to read this information prior to starting their first shift at the Iceplex, and to review updates that will be posted here on occasion. Any updates that are posted will be communicated directly to all employees through when I work, as well as posted in each employee specific area (ie; front desk, zamboni rooms, etc).
