2013 Summer Fest Events Announced

Bill Gray’s regional Iceplex announced today the list of events for its first SummerFest, taking place in the parking lot at the Iceplex. SummerFest 2013 will take place on August 17th and will run from 9:00am until 8:00pm, with activities also taking place inside the ice arena. The entire festival is open to the public, although some activities require pre-registration. The festival will include the following activities and events;

2nd Annual Rochester Americans Street HockeyFest: A street hockey tournament for children of all ages. The tournament fee is $125.00 per team of five players and each player receives a StreetFest T-shirt and a voucher for the Rochester American’s Home Opener. Molson IceDome 4on4 Adult Hockey Tournament: An all-inclusive, one day, cross ice hockey tournament for adult players. The tournament comes to town after a successful run in Buffalo. For more information, visit www.icedome4on4.com.

Locker Room Sports Hockey Expo Tent: Rochester’s hockey experts will be offering closeout prices on hockey skates, sticks and equipment. Major hockey vendors will also be present to show off new products and offer demos. Local hockey celebrities will also be around to make appearances and sign autographs. Beat the Heat… Get on the Ice: Indoor activities on ice will take place throughout the day inside the Iceplex, offering festivalgoers an opportunity to cool off from the summer heat. Activities will include discounted public skating, free broomball pickup games, ice skating lessons and more.

Additional Activities: Live music, raffles, giveaways, DJ, multiple vendors, activities for kids, face painting, appearances by pro athletes, food provided by Bill Gray’s, frozen custard provided by Abbotts, and much, much more.
