Bill Gray's Regional Iceplex announced plans today to host two of their popular TRY HOCKEY FOR FREE events over the December holiday break. The events take place at their 170,000 square foot multi-sport facility, which is located on the Monroe Community College campus.
A co-ed event will take place on December 27th from 10:00am to 11:00pm.
A girls only event will take place on December 29th from 12:00pm to 1:00pm, and is being run in partnership with the Rochester Edge Girls Hockey organization.
The Iceplex runs multiple Try Hockey For Free events throughout the calendar year. These events are designed for children ages 5 to 9 to try ice hockey at no cost and in a positive environment focused on fun.
Participants are provided full equipment and skates at no cost and take to the ice for jam packed, memorable experience. On ice instruction is provided by the Iceplex Hockey staff, along with volunteer coaches and players from the local area..
No skating or hockey experience is required, however re-registration is required for all participants as space is limited.
