Stone Skating school announced plans today to make Bill Gray’s Regional Iceplex the new home of the power skating school for ice hockey players.
Stone Skating was founded in 2001 by Erika Stone, as a means to improve skating technique of ice hockey players of all levels. They offer unique expertise with proprietary drills that increase speed, strength, power and agility. Stone Skating will begin hosting weekly skating classes and special clinics at the Iceplex starting in mid-January. Erika Stone has 18 years of figure skating training and 22 years of teaching experience. She competed at the State, Regional and Eastern US Championship levels, with medals at the Regional level and Gold at the Empire State Games Championships. Erika is a USFS Double Gold Medalist in figures and freestyle. She has developed and worked with some of the area’s best players. These players are currently playing in The National Team Development Program, Prep Schools, Division I and III Colleges, NAHL, USHL, BCHL, Toronto, Detroit, JR A, and JR B.
